CHAPTER : 45 . 

THANDOLWETHU .

I just returned from Varsity , life hasn't been really nice . Sis Rorisang and Lwandile broke up and I think we all felt the pain . We moved to Sandton a few weeks back , he bought a house here and a few cars . Though he doesn't reveal where he got the money , I don't know how him and Sis Rori's dad met but I think that's none of my business now . 

I walk inside and find Lelo painting the walls with crayons , this boy .

“little boy ! what are you doing there now ?” he giggles and runs to me . I pick him up and spin him around . 

“auntie !” I kiss him all over . 

“how are you ?” I ask . 

“I'm okay , i missed you !” I smile . 

“i missed you too , where's your grandmother ?” 

“she's in the kitchen , preparing dinner .” 

“and grandfather ?” he shrugs . 

“he left early in the morning .” I sigh and place him down . I walk to the kitchen and find mom cooking . 

“hasn't Lwandile come back ?” 

“Rori said they're at her house , Metse had a little situation so Lwandile drove her home and she ended up wanting Lwandile to spend the night there .”

“ohh ? so he's not coming home ?” she nods , well that's a step forward . 

“i hope they talk , seeing the both of them struggling hurts me , i don't want to lie .” she says . 

“its been tough for me as well , I was getting used to Sis Rorisang and suddenly she's in hospital because of my brother .” I say heaving a sigh .

“it was a shocker , i didn't think Lwandile could do that but then i remembered , Lwandile is Msizi's son . Of course he's bound to take after him .” I nod lightly .

“i miss her so much .” I say . 

“i miss her too , i even miss my grandchildren . If only i could see them .” 

“we can't even invite them over for dinner or lunch because dad wants nothing to do with them .” 

“Msizi is just crazy , Rorisang and the kids are a part of this family . He can't just come out of nowhere and demand that we stop seeing them . If we have to move back to Soweto then so be it . Luxury doesn't change who we really are .” she's right . 

Lelo runs into the kitchen , he's also one of the people that have been wanting to see Rori , Kago and Metse . 

“grandfather is here ! He bought another car !” he says jumping up and down , where does he get the money though ? I hope he's not doing some illegal stuff because he might go back to jail . 

“good afternoon family ! good day good day!” he walks in , I heave a sigh . The clothes he's wearing scream new . Tell me something , isn't this man 58 ? he's behaving like he's 15 or 18 . 

“you weren't wearing this when you left Msizi .” Mom says . 

“i was passing by a store and i loved the quality of their clothes so i bought some few . Do they suit me ?” I shake my head lightly , he's gone crazy .

“you need to go easy on spending money .” Mom says , he shakes his head and opens the bottle of whiskey he's holding . 

“i can bring in a truck load of money right now , my money doesn't run out . Ever ! now ... Thandolwethu , i want you to look for a nice iPhone for my grandchild and an ipad as well . Angithi you have the iPhone 15 ? Buy him the iPhone 11 or 12 . He must stop drawing walls now .. he must have a phone .” is this man crazy ? it's not even funny . 

“Lelo is just 5 , he can't have a phone right now . Lwandile made that clear .” I say . 

“Lwandile must learn how to spoil his son , this boy must have a phone and ipad , take this ..” he places two stacks of money on the table as me and mom glance at each other . 

“buy him whatever he wants . He deserves to drip !” I think I'm gonna go crazy here . 

“where's Lwandile ? I don't see him anywhere ” he asks . 

“Lwandile took his kids to the father's day event at school today .” he frowns . 

“kids ? I thought Lwandile had one child and that's Mpumelelo . Who are you talking about ?” 

“you don't have to act stupid Msizi .” Mom says . 

“Lwandile must stop providing for kids that aren't his . He was not there when she was widening her legs for the father of her children right ? Did you say she's 30 ? That means she had that boy that looks like he's going to play with girls when she was 15 ? yoh !” he says .

“you don't have to disrespect Sis Rorisang like that , leave those jail tendencies out there and stop speaking nonsense . You're not funny ..” I say standing up . 

“what spell did she cast on you people ? (Shakes head) Lelo , we are going to take a ride in my new sports car right now .” Lelo jumps up . 

“YESSS !” He picks him up and they walk out , I think Mom wasn't in her senses when she dated this man because what the fuck ?
