NARRATED

His parents look at each other then him. Well they knew mbongeni but they didn't know that he was the loanshark even though his voice was familiar when his mom went to take a loan from him. They just didn't expect it from mbongeni ......Mr zulu's childhood friend.

"I'm sorry son ...I didn't expect this kind of behavior or thing from mbongeni "

"It's not your fault dad ,you didn't know what kind of person he is and apparently he sleeps with young girls now "

They sigh.

"I mean I used to hear that the loanshark targets young kids ,I just didn't know that it was him .....I should've protected you samkelo"

His mom's voice breaks and pulls him in for a hug .His dad joins them while samkelo softly sobs.

"What annoys me the most is that he knows that you are my son but he still chose to molest you. If he is sleeping with young girls now ,it means he is still doing this thing to other kids . He has no conscience, even worse he has kids lomuntu"

"That's what cruel people are like ,they don't have hearts and conscience "

His mom says and mr Zulu clenches his jaw .

"He will regret what he did to you"

MAFUNGWASE

I'm going back to school today and how do I feel? .well i don't know ,I mean i am excited but also scared since I lost my memory .What if I don't do well or embarrass myself in front of everyone, especially those girls who i apparently faught with .

Yep Lebohang told me everything that happened at school including a certain lungelo asking me to be his girlfriend and apparently he has STI and has spread it to half of the senior girls .I'm just glad that i didn't agree to be his girlfriend and that last year was his last year ,so this year I won't see him which is great .

But overall I hope I will enjoy this year and gain some of my memories but not the bad ones .I've already gained a horrible one so I just don't want to be broken even further .

My mom drops me off and I find lebohang by the gate waiting for me .I bid my mom farewell and stroll to lebohang and we give each other the warmest hugs .

"Hey boo"

We greet each other then head to the assembly. The assembly was long and boring yhoo plus the heat was over doing it ,belikhipha umkhovi entsheni!. We head back to our class and my day has began .

During the math class, I happen to fall asleep .Suddenly I'm wearing my primary uniform and I'm about to cross the road to the bus stop . The military ambulance let me cross since there's a traffic. As i cross the road ,something bumps me and everything goes blank after that .

I feel someone shaking me and when I slowly open my eyes ,everyone in class is looking at me and lebohang is looking at me with worry that is clearly visible on her face. I groan ,placing my palm on my temple. It's like something hitted my head so hard to the point that I fell .The headache that I got right now is unexplainable.

"What happened?"

I ask whispering and lebohang shrugs her shoulders.

"You were asleep then suddenly you started heavily breathing and let out a low ,shivering scream ."

I look around and take the water that the teacher is offering. I gulp it down then wipe my mouth . I catch a breath .

"Lebohang take her to the sick room "

The teacher says and lebohang accompanies me to the sick room. I sit on the bed . I'm still confused, was that another memory being unlocked or just a dream?

"Lebo"

I call out her name and she stops pacing around and looks at me.

"Would you stop pacing around?, you are making me dizzy "

"Ohh"

She sits next to me .

"I'm sorry "

I nod while my eyes are fixed at the wall. Many thoughts and questions are running in my head ,why did I have that kind of a dream? ,was it just a dream or another memory?. As these questions are playing around my mind, I suddenly have a clear picture of some guy pointing a gun at dad ,i whisper his name and it's samkelo .

Everything comes back running, how i was shot ,how I agreed to give him my virginity, what made him hold us in hostage, how Menzi held my hand ,not wanting to let go . Everything that took place that day came back ,the way we looked at each other ,like we are the only people that mattered, the ululatations that were surrounding us ,how I gave him ucu ,how he gave me umqhele, how he confessed his love for me infront of our parents.

How i felt during that moment , The way I slowly walked towards him ,the softness in our eyes . We loved each other ,so deeply .my heart pound as these flashbacks comes back . I hear a voice calling me and I come back to reality. Lebohang frowns as she looks at me .

"Why are you crying ?"

Damn ,I didn't even realize that I'm was crying .

"I think a memory got unlocked just now"

"Huh?"

"Some guy called samkelo held us hostage on the day menzi came to officiate our relationship infront of everyone "

She gasps and quickly throws me into her embrace .

"Your memory is slowly coming back"

She sobs and I hug her back .

"I'm so sorry for what happened, that day was supposed to be special between you and menzi ."

"Our relationship was deep boo ,i remember the way we looked at each other ,like we are the only people that matter to each other ,like we were seeing something beautiful in each other . I felt the love just by remembering how our eyes sparkled when we locked eyes ,when we held hands . "

"Ohh wifey "

She slowly let go off me then we look at each other .

" I hate that samkelo person for shooting me ,it made me lose my memory. "

"I'm sorry boo ,samkelo was crazy and deeply obsessed with you .fortunately he was caught and was taken to the mental asylum "

"Why?"

I'm asking because I'm still confused ,why was this samkelo guy obsessed with me?

"He has bipolar disorder and boo I'm glad you left him"

"We were dating?"

She nods and starts explaining everything to me .why couldn't he just move on ?, I mean he fuckin cheated and hurt me . Now I have to forgive him??

"I...I don't what to say or ask .I mean why couldn't he just leave me the fuck alone?"

"He loved you but he was toxic and selfish"

I heave a sigh . He is the reason why I lost my memory ,the reason why lush is hurtful and the reason why I can't remember most of our memories.

"Do I have to forgive him?"

"I don't know but I genuinely think that in order for you to heal and move on ,you have to try to forgive him .The decision is on your hands "

I nod , this whole situation is confusing. I really don't know what to say .

NARRATED

It's 5pm ,meaning everyone is back from work and school . Samkelo's parents wanted to find the sweet sithole family altogether, so that they can expose the dirty head of the family accordingly.

They knock while their arms are intertwined. His wife opens the door and they flash her with smiles while her eyes widen.

"Mr and Mrs zulu ,come in "

She lets them in and they walk in with confidence, they find the father and the kids at the sitting room . Mbongeni smiles seeing them and goes to shake their hands .

They feel like they are being touched by a disgusting monster or worms .They fake a smile and sits down.

"What did we do to get this kind visit from you my old friends?"

Mbongeni says and mr Zulu is trying so hard to hide the burning anger in his chest while his wife is noticing how he is clenching his jaw .he will burst soon.

"Well we wanted to check up on you guys ,kade yagcinana"-mrs zulu

"Eyy ngempela ,it has been so many years without seeing you guys "- mbongeni

"Yeah"-mr Zulu

MaSithole offers them muffins and juice then takes a seat .

"Hawu you are still baking MaSithole oe"

Mrs zulu says taking the muffin and masithole nods while giggling.

"Ohh god ,they are so delicious "

"Thank you mazulu sisi"

She nods while eating the muffin while her husband's are piercing mbongeni .ohh how he wants to rip off that stupid head and make sure that he feels every pain that he deserves. Noticing how he is looking at him ,mbongeni clears his throat .

He knows that when his friend is looking at someone like that ,he is preparing something dangerous for them.

"So how life has been treating you? "

Mbongeni asks trying to shake off the unsettling feeling ,luckily the kids went to their rooms and whatever happens won't happen infront of them.

"Good and bad ,our son is at the mental asylum. He was diagnosed with bipolar"-mrs zulu

Masithole gasps .

"Ohh my goodness, I'm so sorry"

"It's okay . You know if i would find that damn loanshark who molested my baby ,it would kill him"

She says the last sentence shooting her eyes to mbongeni and his widen ,realizing that they might know everything.

"But let's not concentrate on that because it breaks my heart"-mrs zulu

"Yeah ....mbongeni my friend, how is the loanshark business going ?"-mr Zulu

Mbongeni clears his throat and tries to sit comfortably as he is feeling the eyes on him.

"Well it has been doing okay so far "

"Mmmmm, so is your principal position treating you good?"-mr Zulu

"Yeah ,even though the children are troublesome "

"Okay ,hawu yazi I've never asked you this my good friend "-mr Zulu

"What?"

"Why did you become a loanshark when you had a degree to be a teacher?"

"Well I was trying to make money so that i can survive "

"So that made you a fucken molester?"

Mr zulu asks in a calm voice while masithole gasp, her husband is molester ?.
Mbongeni quickly drink the water and wander his eyes around .

"Baba what is he talking about?"

She asks ,wanting more clarity.

"Bafo I didn't mean to molest your kid ....I don't know what was in my mind"

Mbongeni say shaking .ohh he knew what he was doing ,he is just begging for mercy .

"Stop lying mbongeni, you even sleep with young kids proving that you are evil "-mrs zulu

"I really don't know what entered me. I'm sorry"

"Sorry won't change the fact that you damaged my son mbongeni "-mr Zulu

He says with anger wanting to burst .he wants to strangle him so bad but he can't do it in his house .

"Baba ....why?"

Masithole asks with her voice breaking ,yes she knew about him sleeping with kids but being a molester?

"You have 24 hours to confess everything you've done to the community and go hand yourself over to the police or else......nc nc nc"

Mr Zulu says standing up and takes his wife .They leave and masithole looks at the monster she calls a husband with gleaming eyes and he clicks his teeth and mumbles

"Why couldn't he just keep quiet that stupid boy"

He gets up and his wife sobs ,realizing that she married a monster not a human.
