Chapter 25

NARRATED

He is tracing his hands all over his body . The way he is touching him is scaring and makes his body shiver . He begs him to stop ,telling him that it's painful but he chooses to ignore him .He is enjoying the painful cries of a young boy that he is wounding ,so why would he listen to him when he begs him to stop .

He then stop and look deep in his eyes ,his face ....it's familiar.

"Behave next time"

The loanshark says with no remorse and walks out while leaving him crying and bleeding just then his mom enters and wraps her arms around him ,welcoming his tears on her chest .

He wakes up sweating, the dream was haunting him again but this time the face got revealed and it's seems like he has saw that face before .....could it be ??
No ,if it's him that means the rumors about him are true but why would he do that while he has a beautiful wife and kids?

Samkelo is trying to solve the puzzle that his mind has created ,could it be that the well respected man is a molester?

We arrive at her house and they are eating lunch. We join them and jokes are being shared while the parents are talking about mafungwase's childhood . She has always had passion for art ,even when she was young ,my best friend is really different.

Her brother has gotten better and he is now able to go to work which is really good . I just pray to god that she gains her memory back because if she doesn't.....

"Are you okay boo?"

I feel her warm hand touching mine and i look at her ,i didn't realise that my tears were slowly escaping my eyes .I just sniff and she looks at me with concern in her eyes . She calls me boo because I told her that we called each other that .

" I'm just happy that you survived because I really don't know what i was going to do without you mafungwase. "

My voice breaks and she brings me into her arms ,embracing me while I sob .I really don't know what i was going to do but I'm sure that I wasn't going to have another best friend because no one would ever replace her in my heart or be like her because she is unique in her own way , a special way.

"I'm sorry that I forgot every memory we shared together "

"It's okay ,we will create new ones as long as you are with me "

She nods and wipes my tears with her palms then pecks my forehead.

"I might not have my memory back but I love you"

I lowly giggle.

"I love you more wifey"

"Your friendship is unique bantwana bami"

Her mom says with a smile and we look at each other smiling. I love my boo so much and I hope she knows that .

MAFUNGWASE

Special people are around me and the love I receive is warm and kind . When I woke up at the hospital, I was confused . I didn't know where I was ,who i am or what kind of people are in my life .Then these beautiful people explained everything to me . I'm just heartbroken that the first memory that I've gained back is that painful experience, an experience that makes me feel dirty.

I'm trying by all means to forget it but how while it's the only memory in my head?
It's tough being me but as long as I got these kind people, I'm happy . Menzi has been patient with me, sharing all the memories and experiences that we shared together. I can feel the connection just by looking into his eyes . Sometimes I feel like it's a fairytale but it's not ,he loves me and I see it just by the way he looks at me ,talk to me and soft with me .

I'm a blessed girl with no memory, funny right but I feel safe with them . The feelings I have for him are deep and I didn't just catch them randomly , I caught them because of how he is with me .He makes me happy even though we are friends, I'm sure that our connection is deeper than anything .

AT UMLAZI

She brings her husband food and he doesn't even say thank you but just looks at her . That breaks her heart ,he changed . He is no longer the sweet gangster that caught her heart but a cold one ,the kind of cold that the heat or fire can't even melt .

"I heard you impregnated zinhle shezi "

"And ?"

"Is it true?"

"If you didn't hear it from me that means it's all lies .I used condoms when I slept with her"

He is not denying the fact that he slept with her but the fact that he impregnated her .

"Why would I want another child while I have them with you ?"

He continues eating his lunch and she watches him with a broken heart .he really changed and she's not getting him back anytime soon.

Our feets are in the pool and we are just chilling and catching up but I know menzi ,he is not okay .There's something troubling him .

"Are you okay?"

I ask him and he nods slowly.

"I think i am okay "

"Talk to me ,there's something troubling you."

" I'm happy that I'm able to bond with mafungwase and that she feels the connection but she can't remember our special day ,our first meet cute . She doesn't remember it and I doubt she will ever will even worse i don't think we will ever be in a relationship broo"

"But you said it yourself, she feels the connection "

"Yes she does but it won't just be the same if she doesn't remember the day we made our relationship official infront of everyone and the day we met .I love her bro and I won't give up on her but it hurts sometimes "

He shrugs his shoulders.

His parents has come to visit him and his mother's heart breaks seeing his son in this place once again .what went wrong ? .
He sits down and looks at them ,his face is blank . No emotions just his normal face .

"Are you okay baby?"

His mom asks with concern and he nods .
No he is not ,his dreams are horrible and they are haunting him so bad .

"Son...I'm sorry I failed you "

"You didn't dad ,i guess it was my fate to face horrible things"

"Ohh my babyy ,don't say that"

His mom holds his hand and he shakes his head .

"But it's true even worse the dreams are back .I guess i don't deserve peace"

"You do son ,alot of peace .it's just that life throws difficult situations at us and we just have to face them"

"I guess so. "

He keeps quiet for a moment then sighs .

"I ....I remember the person that molested me"

They first look at each other then him ,he has tears gleaming and they are stinging his eyes . His mom doesn't know the loanshark's face since he always had a mask on but that day .....he took it off like he wanted Samkelo to remember his face.

"Who is it?"

His parents says in unison and he nods.
