MENZI

I've been ignoring lindiwe's calls lately and it's been a week since my confession to mafungwase .

I've been trying to reach her but she doesn't respond to any of my dm's on Ig and it frustrates me . It's even worse because she blocked me on WhatsApp, ugggh what must I do?

I knock at my friend's front door and he opens .

"Hawu menzi ,come in ."

I go in and he closes the door then walk me to the playing room .I sit on the couch there and he continues doing what he was doing .

I exhale and he turns his head around.

"Yini ndoda ,what is happening?"

"Lindokuhle mfethu ,I confessed to her "

He frowns.

"To her ? "

I stare at him and he gasps as he comes to realization then comes to sit next to me .

"When dawg?"

"Aftter the party dawg ,she broke up with samkelo and I just had to man .I love my chubby cheeks but I don't think I stand a chance anymore."

"Why?"

"I confessed a little bit too late and she doesn't want to be a second choice. I mean she will never be a second choice in my life but at that time I was confused ,I was desperate for love and when I met lindiwe I thought she was everything that I needed but little did I know that the one that was for me ,I was already close to her "

He sighs and shakes his head .

"This is a big problem, now what are you going to do with lindiwe?"

"I'm going to break up with her ,after all she cheated on me with her female bestie ."

He gasps .

He laughs at me and I side smile ,shaking my head .

Yeah lindiwe cheated on me and I don't think she knows that I'm aware .I mean i got the pictures of her and her female bestie having the big deed from an anonymous number .

I was honestly hurt but now i don't care , I just want my chubby cheeks.

I've been glaring at her perfect face for a while now and i can't get over it .she is perfect with her small imperfections and I ruined it ,I ruined everything.

My tear fall on my phone as I am looking at her photo and I really miss her man.

She blocked me everywhere and If I knew her email address, I would've sent her an email now .my heart is with her but I just chose to be a bastard and cheat.

But I made a mistake, everyone makes mistakes and deserve second chances. Mafungwase is mine and if I can't have her then no one will. I will make you regret leaving me my dearest caramel.

Today is my maintenance day and gosh I'm so excited!!!!.

I've been ignoring alot of things that are happening around me and I just deserve happiness not drama. He has been trying to reach me and I'm ignoring his dm's.

I might miss and love menzi but I will not be his play thing. I'm a human and I also have feelings, so if he decides to quit on getting me then congratulations to him but if he decides to fight for our love ,eyy angazi mfethu ,I really don't know.

The hairdresser dries my hair after blowing it out by using relaxer and my mom is sitting next to me.

"So ,how life is going for you?"

She chuckles

"I know ,menzi's mom told me about your feelings for each other."

I clear my throat then wander my eyes around.

"What are you talking about mom?"

"Mntanami, you are still a teenager. Don't worry about love things ,you will experience it at university ."

I sigh .

"Ma ,I honestly don't care about love but menzi just hurts me .I know that we officially confirmed our feelings for each other on Friday but yearning for him is hard and talking to you about these things is harder"

She laughs .

"I know my girl but I think he really loves you ,I saw the way he was looking at you that night .your chemistry was undeniable my baby ,it kinda reminds me when me and your dad met .we were yearning for each other for years and when we got the opportunity to be together, we took it but I'm not advising you to date .ubaba wakho angangithethisa kabi but just do what makes you happy "

"Mah ,this conversation is weird "

I laugh .

"Phela uyakhula ,next year you are going to be a pre-matriculant and that's when you officially start dating ,so if I don't teach myself to talk to you and advice you now .when will I?"

I shrugg my shoulders.

"Exactly, that is why I'm talking to you about these things .sometimes you need your momma"

I chuckle.

It's really weird hearing my mom talk about love . I never thought that one day ,she will be giving me relationship advices and that she will be this openly to talk to .umawami phela inkanyamba and they usually don't pay attention to us ,so talking to her heals my inner child.

This is weird and it kinda scares me because what if it's a trap?
