Chapter 20

NARRATED

Her heart is beating fast ,why is samkelo doing this while he is the one who cheated on her?. Menzi tightens his grip around her and she is at the edge of crying .

"Menzi I have to go to my dad"

She whispers while they are under the table .

"You can't chubby cheeks, samkelo has bipolar and he won't think twice before shooting you"

Her eyes widen ,samkelo has bipolar? .Those news were new to her and maybe that's why he was behaving weird whenever a guy looked at her ,he would stalk them and threaten to end their life .why couldn't he just take his medication?

"Sam...samkelo has bipolar??"

Menzi nods and pecks her lips .

"You can't go there "

While they are whispering to each other ,simphiwe's police instincts forces him to get up and try to talk to him but then all that fails when samkelo noticed and shot at him .The screams were everywhere and mafungwase's mom lets out an agony scream seeing her son lying there .

Mafungwase tries to hold it back as the tears flow and menzi wraps her in his arms .right now he has no strength or idea to help ,this is the bipolar samkelo not the normal ,sane samkelo.

"What will you achieve from this my son"

Ngcobo finally speaks to samkelo who is pointing a gun on his forehead

"Your daughter's heart, you know its deserve her but you gave their stupid relationship your blessings"

"What i was suppose to do?"

"Fight against their relationship but then since your stupid ass couldn't do that ,I might as well fight against it and kill the four of us "

"You won't achieve anything from this"

He snorts and tilts his head aside with a maniacally smirk.

"Trust me khehla ndini ,I will"

Samkelo has pulled this stunt before and that is why his parents kept on pushing for him to take his medicine but he was convinced that he is now normal. When he loves ,he loves deeply with his manipulative personality and being rejected and the obsessive side of awakens the bipolar in him

Everyone is shivering and judging by the way he is right now ,no one is brave enough to confront him .mafungwase's eyes keeps on stealing glances at her brother who is lying there almost lifeless and this breaks her heart more .

Her mouth is trembling and menzi could hear her heart beat beating so fast as if it wants to come out of her mouth .

"Don't cry ,I'm sorry chubby cheeks"

He say with a low tone and she just keeps quiet. The scared people don't dare to do anything and lindokuhle steal a glance of lebohang who is trembling with tears flowing.

He silently crawls to her and she gets frightened as he brings her into his embrace.

"Shhh ,it's me .please don't be scared "

She doesn't say anything but just clings onto him more and he sincerely smiles ,feeling her in his arms .

Menzi scans the atmosphere and samkelo is still pointing at ngcobo who is definitely not backing down anytime soon . He slowly takes out his phone from his pocket and mafungwase feels him move then looks at his eyes frowning.

"What are you doing?"

She asks whispering to him .

"Calling the police "

"What??"

He places his index finger on her lips and dials the police . As the police answers ,samkelo hears the whispers underneath the table and he walks over it then points the gun at both of them .

Mafungwase shoots her eyes out and trembles with fear as the gun is now right in her face .they slowly gets out of underneath the table while their hands are intertwined and walks to stand besides ngcobo .

"Samkelo....please...please don't kill us"

She says in between her sobs and samkelo scoffs upon hearing this.

"Ohh please darling ,this is just a start .wena why were you calling the calls stupid ass?"

He directs the last sentence to menzi .

"Samkelo out'yami there's better ways to solve this ,please don't hurt us"

"Such as? ,because all i want is to be happy with my beautiful caramel"

"Ayy amanyalake lawo owashoyo "

Menzi says irritated and mafungwase looks at him noticing the change in samkelo's eyes .

"Menzi ....".

She says lowly and menzi ignores her .The fear in her eyes is breaking him so that is why he is avoiding to look at her in the eyes.

"Samkelo....please let go of my parents and everyone else ,I promise to give you whatever you want ,just let go of them "

The excitement in samkelo's eyes couldn't be missed ,it's he has been waiting for this moment .

"Really?"

She nods while her tears fall and menzi looks at wondering what is she planning to do .

"How old are you wena mfana?"

Ngcobo asks with concern ,noticing how samkelo is behaving. It's really concerning and a boy this young ,shouldn't be carrying a gun .

"Non of your business madala"

"Well it is because you are in my house and it looks like you are obsessed with my daughter "

"Baba ...please "

She pleads with her dad to stop talking because she's scared that it will drive samkelo even more crazy .

Meanwhile lebohang is sobbing silently in lindokuhle's arms .she's scared for her bestie and for her life, she doesn't want to die young .if she knew ,she would have definitely went against samkelo and mafungwase's relationship.

Samkelo scans mafungwase and it's like he is undressing her which makes her uncomfortable and menzi notices that .

"Stop undressing her"

Samkelo starts laughing maniacally after what menzi said and walks closer to him .they look straight into each other's eyes .

"Why should I??"

"It makes her uncomfortable "

"Well i own her ...she's mine"

He uncomfortably smiles and moves his eyes to mafungwase .

"So....you said you will give me anything i want right?"

He runs the gun on her face and she nods then sniff .

" let go of these people and my parents then I will give you anything that you want "

"Then I want your virginity, I deserve it futhi feel the pain while you are in your teens then to feel it later in your twenties "

"Uyahlanya wena ,une bipolar. She won't do that!"-Menzi

The bipolar word triggers him even more and he shoots menzi a stare .

"Yeyiiii ,angihlanyi mina .I'm not crazy and I don't have bipolar!!"

"Keep on telling yourself that ,this is the same thing you did to nelizwa"

FLASHBACK
Nelizwa is tied against the chair and samkelo is watching her whimpering and crying .

"So you thought you could just dump me like trash nelizwa?"

"Please...please let go of me samkelo "

He enjoys seeing her in pain and the fear in her eyes excites him even more .

"Why should I princess? , you broke my heart"

"But I didn't mean to, please let go of me ngiyakucela"

She says sobbing even more and samkelo bends to look at her properly in the eye .

"That won't happen,instead we will have fun "

"No please samkelo...."

Before he could continue any further, police barge in with his parents and they hold him back while is trying to fight back then inject him and he feels his eyes getting heavier for him then he dozes off.

END OF FLASHBACK

"This wasn't you when we were growing up samkelo ,what happened that day?"

Samkelo looks straight into his eyes while smiling and says.....

"Shit happened "

Then he starts laughing uncontrollably and starts pacing around while gently hitting the sides of his temple.

"Shit happened, shit happened, shit happened, shit happened..."

He says repeatedly and the three of them look at each other ,ngcobo had never seen such a thing . Then mafungwase utter the most unexpected words .

"Let go of them ,i will give you my virginity "

He stops pacing and ngcobo shoots her a look along with menzi .they couldn't believe what they were hearing .

"You don't have to do this mafungwase...please for your own mental health "

Menzi says feeling the burning sensation of his tears .

"I don't want anyone to get hurt ,already simphiwe has been shot and we are not sure whether he is alive or not "

"He is alive!"

Lindokuhle says and they all look at him .

"I checked his pulse ,please don't shoot me samkelo "

Samkelo just grabs mafungwase and wraps his arm around her neck with the gun on the side of her temple .she cries and lebohang sobs together with her mom .

"Please don't hurt my daughter mfana wami"

"Yeah please don't hurt her ,we will do anything "

Ngcobo and menzi both plead sincerely and samkelo just smirks then licks her face .menzi clenches his jaw and tries to control the anger in him .

"Everyone, I'm going to count to three then get out !"

They all start sobbing besides the men and boys .samkelo counts to three and when he reached three ,they rush out but ngcobo and menzi don't. They continue pleading him to not hurt mafungwase.
Their pleading is falling into deaf ears as he is holding mafungwase against him .

"You are still young ,you will love somewhere else. Please don't ruin your future ."

"Mafungwase chose me broo ,just accept it"

He scoffs unbelievably.

"She chose you ? ,eyy lalela la if I can't have her then no one will!"

She sobs against him .

"You are hurting me samkelo "

She says choking and menzi gets red seeing his heart like this so he tries to move forward to attack samkelo but samkelo notices and mafungwase gets away from his hold as he pulls the trigger . She gets shot on her chest and hits her head as she was protecting menzi from getting shot .

Everything slows down and samkelo drops the gun then rushes out of the house after realizing what he has done ,ngcobo goes after him and menzi goes on his knees and holds mafungwase into his arms ,crying uncontrollably.

"Someone call the ambulance!!!"

He cries loudly.
