Chapter 12

NARRATED

They are still at samkelo's house and lindiwe decided to leave since she couldn't bear seeing the way mafungwase and menzi were looking at each other.

They are cleaning around and no one dares to utter a word ,just heavy sighs ,bottles and plates sounds that are echoing around the house .

Samkelo wants to apologize to his sweet caramel ,after all he loves her .this was just a pure mistake ,nothing else .He sees that he is losing her ,she is slipping away from his hands that were busy with other girls.

Meanwhile menzi just wants to talk to her about everything that has happened. He wants to break up with lindiwe and be with his chubby cheeks but that mission is not possible while he doesn't know how she feels like .

They both glance at her with questions and confusion in their heads as she is cleaning around along with samkelo's sister .she feels their eyes but doesn't dare to raise hers to look at them .

Mafungwase is now at the bathroom, washing her hands as he enters .She looks at him through the mirror and he leans against the wall then looks at her too .

They both wonder ,what happened?. Everything was going good until that one night ,the night that ruined their friendship, the night that ruined all that they had between them .

Menzi's eyes are scanning her face through the mirror and she is also scanning his .The heavy sighs ,they don't know what to say to each other .

She finally lowers her head then close the tap and dries her hands .She tries to pass him but he fixes his grip around her arm ,stopping her from going out then closes the bathroom door.

He places her against the wall .She exhales then swallows her saliva as his warm breath hits her face .They are locking eyes and his thumbs runs against her cheek .

"Why are you doing this to me chubby cheeks?"

His voice traces desperation and being confused. The love that he has for her makes him wanna cry and it's not usual for him to love a girl to the point that he wants to cry .

She frowns ,confused at the question that he just asked her .

"What are you talking about lush ?"

Lush? . He chuckles, it's been a long time since he heard her call him that and it feels good.

"Why do I feel this certain way about you ?"

His eyes are still connected to hers ,the tension is undeniable.

"I don't know ,how do I make you feel?"

She says nervously, he has never been this close to her before and his touch feels different now .it feels warm ,lovely and drawing .

"You make me feel......"

The door opens and samkelo enters ,they both raise their heads and samkelo folds his arms .

Menzi moves away from her then clears his throat and gets out , leaving her with this cheater . She also moves from the wall and goes to lean on the sink.

"Can we talk my caramel?"

"Talk about what?"

"About what happened.....look baby "

He walks closer to her then grabs her hands.

"I'm sorry about everything"

"You always say sorry and you never change"

Her eyes are stinging again ,she tries to swallow the lump .why is samkelo hurting her like this?

"It was a mistake "

"A mistake that broke me samkelo . You said you were going to get drinks but you were busy fucking a girl and even worse when menzi confronted you, you said it's not like I'm going to sleep with him even if he doesn't like seeing me like this . Like samkelo uyahlanya?"

"Kushelele ulimi ,sthandwasami. I'm really sorry"

She sniffs then removes her hands from his and folds her arms.

"Sorry won't change anything, it's over between us .unfollow me then lose my number , I will absolutely do the same "

His heart breaks and tears fall immediately. She must give him a chance again ,he will change!

"Baby ......please"

His voice is cracking and she grabs her hand bag .

"Bye samkelo zulu"

She walks out ,leaving him crying . When she walks downstairs ,she sees him walking up and stops on her tracks for a moment, locking eyes with him .

"Are you okay?"

His voice traces concern and her tears fall then he grabs her for a hug .she is in his arms again ,after a long time .

"Don't cry , should I take you home?"

She nods ,sniffing.

"Please lush "

He picks her up on a bridal style. She may be chubby but she will never be heavy to him ,she is his chubby cheeks and he is her lush .
