Chapter 39

Jade

*I start my motorbike with intentions to hit the road and say goodbye to everything and everyone. I pass through a car at high speed . The window is open, and it's going straight to Dantes house. I stop and turn a little . It's parking outside his house. The gate opens .*

Emma : The fuck is that ?

Jay : looks like a guy .

Jade : Fuck it's Drake.

Jay : I told you we should've burnt his house down . But don't worry, I already got that under control. Just a few more minutes .

Jade : Fuck I left the freaking lighter on didn't I?

Jay : You get me .

*Maybe this is it indeed. Drake gets out of the car, and I watch him trying so hard to open the door .*

Jay : Just 5 for minutes .

*He finally cracks it open . Fucking muscles if he has let's strength he could've took more time . He's in and ok watching him .*

Jay : Tick tock

Jade : He's been there for almost 3 whole minutes now.

Emma : I feel bad for poor Drake .

Jade : My poor sister. Fuck let's just go .

*We turn to leave when..*

Jay : And kaboom it's down.

*The helmet is protecting my eyes. The entire house exploded like it was a freaking bomb . I hate the tug I got in my stomach . What's wrong with me . He deserved this. I turn to leave upon hearing the sirens.*

Emma : Whoa what the fuck ?

*I turn to look and see Drake pulling Dante out of the yard. He's quite heavy, but this is Drake . He has him over his shoulders and drawing him out of the back to the car.*

Jay : Can't this punk just die already.

*They finally reach the car, and he moves to his side. I speed off heading for my house for some sleep . I can't believe he still is breathing .*

Jade : I'm heading for the shower . Don't disturb me.

*They both nod and head for the kitchen, probably to argue all night. As soon as I get under the water . I let it all out. All my hurt and pregnancy, everything I just wail and sob and cry for everything that has ever happened to me. I cry so much that I can't feel tears coming out anymore. I take my lotion and lotion my body, then make my way straight to bed.*

Dante

*Fuck . My throat hurts so bad . Even my voice is hoarse . Drake is outside the door. I don't want company right now. Why can't this mission be over and done so I can explain myself to her. She really did try to kill me. She's good at it, too. I can't believe she's pregnant. If that's what she meant . Drake enters just as I'm thinking.*

Drake : Wanna tell me why you almost died today ?

*I can't talk. I have to rest my voice so I can't reply to him . I just stare at him*

Drake : I'm telling Alex you're at the hospital .

*I shake my head, indicating a no.*

Drake : Why the fuck not ? You know what I don't care . Stay alone and see if I care.

*I grab my phone and text him*

Drake : You want me to get you, Jade ?

*I nod .*

Drake : You cheated on her.

*I give him a stern hard look, and he shakes his head.*

Drake : Fine . I'll get her to come visit you tomorrow. Rest your voice for now. The nurse gave you those . Use them I'm leaving . I have a family to take care of, remember? And I'm freaking hungry .

*He orders me something before he leaves . I lay my head on my pillow. Maybe I should just abort the mission. But I can't a lot of people depend on this. I just need some time and everything will work out perfectly . I take my phone and send Sam's father a meeting. Time is something I don't have. I have to address the elephant in the room quicker than I thought.*
