Jade

*We make our way inside . I have a smile plastered across my face . I'm really hurt by what Dante did , but I won't let it get to me . What did I expect anyway. He's a guy. The minute I enter , I see Kyson looking at me . Kyson is a friend of mine. We went to the same university . He approaches us . He still looks hot, though.*

Kyson : Jade , you look beautiful as always.

*He says, showing off his gorgeous smile . He gets closer and kisses my cheeks very close to my lips. He has always been the affectionate type . I guess that hasn't changed over the years. I kiss both his cheeks back .*

Jade : OH hey Ky. You clean pretty well .

Kysone : Always , it's been what 3 years ?

Jade : Yep , you've been hiding .

Kyson : I wouldn't say hiding . Just needed some time to reflect.

Jade : I get it , now tell me what brings you over here ? Are you related to the old guy or anything?

Kyson : Forever the searcher, aren't you J? Some things will never change .

Jade : Old habits die hard, Ky.

Kyson : He's mommy's uncle, so the entire family is here .

*Mind you, Dante is still right next to me throwing daggers at Ky eavesdropping.*

Jade : You mean your entire family is here ?

Kyson : Yep , and mommy misses you so bad. You were always the favorite daughter in law.

*I feel Dante's hand tighten along my waist and move a little away from him . I wonder what's up with him*

Jade : I miss her too . Where is she so I can meet her ?

Kyson : Come, I'll take you ?

Dante : We're waiting for someone here .

*We both raise our heads to look at him.*

Jade : We are?

Dante : Yes, my brothers.

Jade : OH, sorry, my mistake . Anyway, Ky, this is ..

Kyson : Dante Rodriguez, who doesn't know him?

Jade : OH well, I didn't till recently, but hey, who's asking right .

*I raise my eyes, shocked by his response.He smiled, looking back at my face .*

Jade : Um, well, interesting way to put it . Here is my boss .

Kyson : Your what?, Jade Zulu has a boss?

Jade : You do know my father .

Dante : Here they come , let's go .

*He says with his jaw tightened. Looking so annoyed.*

Jade : It was nice meeting you again, Ky .

Kyson : Likewise, J , we should meet over dinner or coffee sometime. Give me your number , and I'll text you when .

Jade : Okay, here, take my card instead.

*I say, giving him my card and turning to find Dante annoyed beside me. I couldn't give a flying monkey about his moods right now. I stopped the passing waitresses and took some champagne.*

Dante : Slow down, ok the champagne.

Jade : Don't tell me what to do .

*I say, rolling my eyes . His brother's approach us . I see what drove Ella crazy this Alex guy is very handsome and has more muscles . I guess these boys live for the gym.*

Drake : OH hey Mrs. Art .

Jade : OH, please ,I apologized . Hey , I'm Jade Zulu .

*Say extending my arm, greeting both of them formally . Alex looks at it for a few minutes before finally grabbing the arm and shaking it for a few seconds . Let's it go .*

Alex : I'm Alex Rodriguez, but I assume you already know my name . You look very beautiful, Mrs Zulu .

Jade : Why thank you very much, Mr Rodriguez, but please call me Jade ,Mrs Zulu makes me feel old.

Alex : Mh, okay, I'll respect your wishes . Being called Mrs at your age does make you seem old . Alex is fine with me, too. However, I don't mind being called Mr Rodriguez because I actually am quite old .

Jade : You are aging pretty well, by the way .

Alex : Why, thank you very much, Jade . 8 out of 10 males around the world grow old and look like their age. It feels good to be told I'm growing well.

Jade : I'd like to introduce you to someone, Alex . You should come over to my house.

Dante : What?

Alex : What do you mean what?

Dante : You can't go there , it's against your schedule.

Jade : OH really, I'm sorry. Can I make an appointment at least ?

Alex : No, it's fine , I'll make another schedule . Tell me when to come over. I would love to see your home, Jade. Who do you want me to meet ?

Jade : Someone you'll love . It's a surprise.

Alex : I'm not sure if I will love that person, but I find your attempt very kind, Jade . You are very nice . I'm not really a fan of surprises.

Jade : I'm sure you'll love mine . Excuse me, I have to use the restroom .

Dante : Yes, Alex she knows.

*He cuts him off as I make my way to the bathroom . I'm definitely telling Ella about him. I'm sur she'll like him more when she sees him face to face . But he's never been in love . If it's meant to be, they'll figure it out. Jade, the matchmaker, is back in business.*
