TEARS OF A ROYAL BLOOD

LONDI
A few weeks later, she has now adjusted to the royal life. They made a press announcement and let the public know of the changes. They have changed the name of the kingdom from Nqoboka to KwaSompisi. It’s still her and her mother in the royal house. Oh and a new cousin who came out nowhere when she heard they are royal. She could do with the extra help.
Things between her and Solwazi are also going well. Except for the fact that her ancestors do not approve of the relationship. According to Phazama, they only wanted Solwazi to help them get the throne back to her and then his job would be done. But she can’t stay away, she loves him and they will just have to forgive her. It’s understandable though why they don’t want them together, his ancestor stole the throne from them. So maybe they are scared that he will do the same thing too. She wishes she could just show them how good Solwazi is. She trusts him with her life. He wouldn’t do anything to hurt her. It’s just so unbelievable that a person could be perfect like Solwazi is.
Ntobe, the cousin comes to her.
Ntobe:Sis there are people looking for you.
Londi:Okay, thank you.
She walked out and she was stunned to see that it was Zama and her mother. She ran to them and hugged Zama tightly.
Londi:You didn’t tell me you were coming.
Zama:I wanted it to be a surprise.
Londi:Ma how are you?
She greeted Zama’s mother.
“Siyaphila Londi(I am fine). This house is beautiful. When Zama told me that you are royal I wanted to see it with my own two eyes”.
Londi:You’re welcome. Let’s go inside.
She led them inside and they couldn’t stop complimenting how beautiful the royal house was.
Zama:Friend this is amazing. Oh God!
Londi:Let me show you your rooms. We had the whole place fumigated, cleaned and cleansed. Everything.
“Where is your mother?”
Londi:Oh let me take you to her.
She took her to her mother and came back to Zama.
Londi:How long are you staying?
Zama:Maybe a week. I love it. Plus Nana is with her father and she doesn’t even remember me when she’s with her father.
Londi laughed.
Londi:Kids!
Zama:So how are things? And I mean between you and Solwazi.
She blushed and sat down next to her.
Londi:We are okay. Friend I love that guy. It’s just that o Ntuli don’t want our relationship.
Zama:Why?
Londi:They think he’s going to steal the throne like Madida did.
Zama:But shouldn’t they see right through him?
Londi:Could be just fear. Phela Madida did us dirty, Zama. We have been suffering for generations, maybe they are just protecting what belongs to them. But I know Solwazi would never do that.
Zama:Mhh I don’t know, Londi, I have heard before that ancestors know better than us. Who knows how far they will go to separate you from Solwazi?
Londi swallowed and breathed nervously. They wouldn’t do that to her, right?
Zama:Even if they do agree to your relationship babe, how will your thing work? I mean, if you two get married, you would have to take his surname and again the throne automatically gets back to them.
Londi:*Mumbling* Langelihle’s husband took her surname.
Zama:Well you are not Langelihle, and your ancestors are different from hers.
Londi:Zama you’re stressing me out more.
She rubbed her face frustrated.
Zama:I don’t mean to stress you, but these are things you and Solwazi should be talking about.

ZIZIPHO
It’s been a roller-coaster of a few weeks, from spending time with her father and having to deal with her mother who has suddenly turned into a love-struck teenager.
Her father, feels good to say that, it is good to have him in her life. He’s just everything Qhawe wasn’t. It’s only been a few weeks, but it’s like she has known him for years.
Tomorrow they are leaving and going to Eastern Cape for her ceremony. She’s going to be introduced to the Mceleli ancestors and meet the rest of the family. She hopes everyone likes her. She has seen pictures of her other siblings and she can’t wait to meet the twins. The bond between her and Nozipho gets stronger day by day. She’s happy to have a sister like her. It’s the relationship she always wished to have with Thembeka back in the days.
Speaking of her, she went back to Nq.. Oh KwaSompisi. She said she needs to be with her boyfriend, but she doesn’t stay in the royal house so she’s either renting or staying with her man.
She is happy today and she has already packed for the journey tomorrow. She is humming a song as she closes her suitcase. She hopes she didn’t pack too much. Her mother comes in her room.
Sindiswa:Zee.
She rolls her eyes.
Zizipho:Can I help you?
Sindiswa:I see you’re packing.
Zizipho:Yeah, dad said we have to leave early tomorrow.
Sindiswa:Okay, travel safe. Are you sleeping over there tonight?
Zizipho:Yep, we will all travel together.
Sindiswa:I wish I could go with you.
She stopped what she was doing and looked at her. This was getting out of hand, and she is going to ruin her chances. Mam’Jabu already isn’t happy with her mother’s behaviour, and it’s just so surprising how her father is also letting her mother act like they are still lovers.
Zizipho:There is no need for that ma. It’s my ceremony. And I’m 23, you don’t need to accompany me.
Sindiswa:It was just a suggestion.
Zizipho:Can I also suggest something?
Sindiswa nodded.
Zizipho:Please do not be the reason why another woman has to cry herself to sleep.

SOLWAZI
Business and his love life is going well. If all goes well, he is thinking of opening another branch in another province. He’s all for everything that brings in money, life is expensive to maintain.
His relationship with Londi has been amazing, even though her family does not approve but he has hope that their love will conquer, and that they can finally see he doesn’t have any hidden agenda. He loves Londi and he just wants to be with her. Anything else, they will sort out along the way.
He has tried to appease to the Ntulis and try to convince them to let him date Londi, but Phazama is still saying one thing, that they do not approve. He’s scared at what they could do to keep them away. Ancestors can play dirty sometimes.
He is thinking of paying a visit tomorrow.

At the Airport, a dark handsome man carrying his briefcase and wearing his glasses drags his luggage and wait for the person who’s going to fetch him.
He looks at his watch and it has been at least ten minutes since he has been waiting. There’s nothing he hates more than people who are not punctual. When he says 12h00pm, he expects you to be there by 12h00pm. Not by a second nor a minute late.
He sees a black car driving in speed towards him and sighs. Finally!
The car stops next to him and the driver gets out.
“I’m sorry sir for being late. I was held up by the traffic”the driver apologized.
“It’s fine. We should get going” he says to him. They load his things in the boot and he gets in the back.
He has been overseas for years, and now he’s back. Mainly because his mother has been begging him to come back, and he missed the South African soil.
“Where to, Sir?”
“My mother’s house first”
The driver nods and drives to his mother’s house.
He arrives and drives inside the yard.
He smiles to himself when he sees how beautiful the renovation for his mother’s house went. He only saw the pictures of the great job the workers did, but now that he is seeing it live, he’s impressed.
He exhales and steps out of the car.
A woman gets out of the house and looks at the car frowning, wondering who it is.
When her eyes land on the young man, she beams with joy.
She starts ululating and rejoicing, that causes everyone from inside the house to get out to see what she is so happy about.
She pulls the young man to her Nad hugs him tightly.
“Mangaliso mfana wami, I’m really glad you came home” she says.
Mangaliso hugs his mother back, he didn’t know he missed his family this much.
His siblings also run to him and hug him.
