TEARS OF A ROYAL BLOOD
12
The following day, at Nqoboka.
Solwazi woke up earlier than his mother, preparing to drive her to Durban. But to his disappointment, his father sends word that no one is going in or out of the royal house until mid day. He knows it's about the seer that is coming. Well he has nothing to hide so he is not fazed by the arrival of the seer. He just wants to get his mother out of this place.
His mother has also woken up and preparing to go for the checking of the killer.
Sindiswa:I don't think the killer would be here in the royal house though.
Solwazi:Let's just do as father said and get it over and done with.
Sindiswa:Okay, let me put on my doek.

A while later, everyone is gathered around and waiting for the seer.
Mkhonto is sitting next to his mother, and Lisa on his left.
His eyes travel to Solwazi, Solwazi looks at him. They stare each other for a while until Solwazi looks down, feeling like his eyes were burning.
Mkhonto squeezes Lisa's hand.
Kholo:Where is even that seer? We have been waiting.
Qhawe:She said she would come. Be patient.
Outside the gate, Gobi gets dropped off by a car and she hops out with a younger version of Langelihle. They both tell the guards at the gate who they are, and they let them in.
Gobi:We have entered. How do you feel, Ntandokazi?
Ntando:My spirit feels heavy. How do you feel?
Gobi:Same as you. Let's go. They are waiting for us. You're going to be doing most of the things.
Ntandokazi closed her eyes and opened them again.
They head to where the family was and they apologize for coming late.
Qhawe:Thank you for coming, I have already told you over the phone what I need you to do.
Gobi:Yes My king. This is Ntandokazi, the Queen's daughter. She's the one who's going to do what you need. I hope that's not going to be a problem.
Qhawe:I don't see a problem with that, but are you sure?
She asked not trusting this young girl. She looked like a teenager.
Gobi:She is Langelihle's daughter. I couldn't be more sure.
Qhawe nodded.
Gobi:Okay we can start.
They were in the throne room actually.
Gobi took out her things and started by burning her Impepho. Good thing she has Ntandokazi with her, she(Ntando) is just fascinated by everything supernatural and beyond the human eye.
Ntandokazi can't move her eyes from Mkhonto, the way she is looking at him makes him feel uncomfortable that he just stands up wanting to leave.
Ntandokazi:Where are you going? No one can leave.
Gobi looked at Ntandokazi and went to close the door.
Gobi:No one is leaving until we are done. If anyone feels like confessing, now is the right time.
They all kept quiet.
Gobi:Ntandokazi, do your thing.
She nodded and went around them. She started with Thembeka. She touched her hand and closed her eyes.
Ntando:She's clean.
She opened her eyes and looked at Thembeka.
Ntando:You know what you've done and you need cleansing to remove the bad luck it may have brought.
Thembeka nodded, she understood exactly what she meant. She was talking about her abortion.
Qhawe:What are you talking about?
Ntandokazi moved over to Lisa and she was clean, same as Sindiswa. She stopped when it was Kholo's turn.
Kholo:Are we seriously expected to believe that this teenage girl will find out who the killer is?
Gobi:She knows what she's doing. Let her do her thing. Give her your hand.
Kholo gave her her hand with her heart beating fast. Ntandokazi looked at her without blinking for a few seconds.
Ntandokazi:Clean.
She sighed in relief.
She moved over to Khethi and she was also found not guilty of the crime. Now it was Solwazi, Qhawe and Mkhonto remaining.
She started with Mkhonto. There was something not normal about him. And she couldn’t understand what it was. Her mother told her that if she feels like this towards a person then it probably means that person has a dark side within them.
Ntando:Please give me your hand.
He gave her his hand.
She tightened the grip around his hand and gasped softly.
Mkhonto started to sweat. This little girl was somewhat making him nervous, like she could see right through her.
His hands felt like it was burning but there was no fire.
He removed his hand from her.
Mkhonto:Why is your hand so hot!?
Ntandokazi grabbed him by his arm and immediately went into a trance. Her eyes were wide open and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Was that the sun inside her eyes!? What sort of witchcraft was this!? Everyone was shocked by what they were saying, except for Gobi.
After a while she opened her eyes and looked at Gobi.
Ntando:He didn't do it.
He breathed out in relief and looked at Solwazi.
She went to Qhawe and he was also found innocent.
It was now Solwazi's turn. The moment she touched his hand, she could sense the peace in him. His heart was so pure that it was so refreshing than the hands she's touched in this room.
She frowns when she gets another feeling and sees something else.
Ntandokazi:Your hands have blood!
Solwazi looked at his hands in confusion.
Solwazi:I don't have blood in my hands.
Ntando:You did it? You're the killer?
“What!?”that was everyone’s reaction.
Ntandokazi looked at him and felt like crying. His hands had blood on them but his conscience was clean.
Kholo claps her hands dramatically.
Kholo:Hehe I knew it!!! I knew he's the killer but no one believed me!
Gobi:My king can we speak with you outside?
He followed them.
Qhawe:Is it true? Did my son really kill my seer?
Ntando:His hands have Ndlovu's blood.
Gobi:Ntandokazi, what did you see on the other one?
Ntando:I don't know what it is, but it's not him alone in that body. There's just so much darkness inside him.
Gobi:My king, Ndlovu was your loyal seer, I'm sure he told you about the division of ancestors.
Qhawe:He did.
Gobi:You My king know the reason to that. I don't condone people making decisions that would affect their generation in future.
Qhawe:I'm aware of that. Ndlovu did tell me that my house is falling apart.
Gobi:My king, your son has been turned.
Qhawe:Turned?
Ntando:To the dark side. Who was the first king?
Qhawe:My great grandfather.
Ntando:He got to him.
Qhawe:Got to him how?
Ntando:He must have sat on the chair. He heard voices and unfortunately for him, he listened to the wrong voices. Voices that led him to the dark. Solwazi on the other hand, when I touched him all I could get was just positive energy and kindness. Your wives, the second and the third one, please be careful of them.
Gobi grunted and moved her shoulders.
Gobi:Khona okungahambi kahle kuleli khaya(Something is not right in this house).
Ntando:I have not been in this supernatural business for long, but all I could get from that room is that the royal blood is crying. You know what that means. Fix your house baba. Your son(Solwazi) may seem like he's guilty, but I don't believe he did it. Evil forces are at work here and we know just how much things can be manipulated. Your older son, you need to find him help to get that thing out of him. Whatever it is that possessed him. I don't want to assume that it's your great grandfather because that wasn't shown to me.
Qhawe listened as the little girl told him.
Ntandokazi:Take Mkhonto to a healer, Gobi will give you her name. He needs to bath in a sacred river for seven days consecutively before things get even worse. She will help him remove all the darkness and you will have your son back. As to who the real killer is, I'm afraid that wasn't shown to us too. Our ancestors do not get straight to the point I'm sure you know that. But Ndlovu's death was not in vain. When he gets to the other side, I know he will fight for this family.
Gobi:Ntandokazi has said it all my king. Fix your royal affairs.
She told him the healer he should take Mkhonto to.
Qhawe:What do I do with the division of my forefathers?
Gobi sighs. This man knew what he had to do to fix everything, but for some reason it's like he enjoys seeing this house kumapeketwana!
Gobi:We have said all we needed to say. Solwazi is carrying the luck of your grandmother with him. He is blessed and you know deep down in your heart that if things were done right, the throne should belong to him. Me and Ntandokazi are leaving.
She took Ntandokazi's hand and walked out with her.
Ntando:He is too soft and has gotten used to what he has that he doesn't want to do the right thing.
Gobi:Most people want to learn from their mistakes after suffering the consequences. They never want to do the right thing while they still have time.
Ntando:I hope they don't persecute Solwazi for something he doesn't know of. I don't know how the blood got into his hands but I know he didn’t do it. He's innocent. I hope the king shows him just this once that he's his father.
