TEARS OF A ROYAL BLOOD
13
Back in the throne room.
Kholo:Yazini I knew it! I just knew it!
Sindiswa was still shocked and she didn't want to believe that her son did this. It couldn't be.
Qhawe got back inside and everyone looked at him for the way forward.
Kholo:Baba the killer has been found. He needs to be banished from this kingdom.
Qhawe sits on his chair and keeps quiet for a while. He needs to do right by his children, for once. Gobi said his house is falling apart.
Qhawe:Firstly, when they called me outside it's because they had to tell me some things they couldn't say in here.
Kholo:What are those things?
Qhawe:Can I just talk without being interrupted!?
He asked dismissively.
Qhawe:There is a lot of evil spirits that have entered the royal house. Solwazi didn't commit the murder.
Kholo:But the little girl said his hands have blood.
Qhawe:And I'm telling you that he didn't do it! Someone did it and tried to frame the murder on him.
Sindiswa sighed in relief. She didn't care who did it, as long as her son was out of the blame.
Solwazi, he wasn't worried because he knows he didn't do anything... He's just confused as to how the blood got into his hands.
Qhawe:Can the women excuse us? I need to talk with my sons.
The women walked out.
Mkhonto:I don’t understand why you say he's not guilty when the little girl told us his hands have blood..
Qhawe took his phone and called Gobi. He put her on loudspeaker.
Gobi:My king.....
Qhawe:Can you just confirm for me that Solwazi is the killer.
Gobi:But my king we told you that he is innocent.
Qhawe:Thank you Gobi.
He hung up and looked at Mkhonto.
Qhawe:Happy?
He sulked and looked the other way. How the hell did they see he was framed? He was sure that this wil work. Solwazi takes the blame and is banished from the kingdom...
Qhawe:They also told me something else about you Mkhonto. They say you have been turned over to the dark side.
Mkhonto:Me? Dark side?
Qhawe:I know you sat on this chair and you heard some voices, you followed the wrong voices. I am going to take you to the healer who will get rid of all the darkness inside you.
He nodded..
Mkhonto:Can I be excused?..
Qhawe:Of course.
He walked out.
Solwazi:I knew something was different about him but I couldn't assume what it was. Look at how he just took it lightly right now, do you think he will get help?
Qhawe:He will. Solwazi I need to tell you something, because you're the only one I trust now.
Solwazi:Okay, sounds serious. What is it?
Qhawe looked at the door to see if no one was coming and pulled Solwazi close.

In the main house.
Kholo was still causing a scene badmouthing Solwazi, saying that he should be banished because he was found guilty.
Thembeka:If dad says he's innocent then he is.
Kholo:Yeeey I don't believe all that nonsense. He's guilty. The little girl said he has blood in his hands.
Khethi:If you hate a person just say you hate a person, but don't lie on a public platform like this. You heard Baba saying that there were things they couldn't say in front of us and they called him outside.
Kholo:Be that as it may I still say he's guilty!
Thembeka:Whee I give up!
Qhawe entered the room and they all went quiet. He looked furious.
Qhawe:Things are bad as they are already, I don't need my wives creating more conflicts. You heard me telling you that they said Solwazi didn't do it. Who are you Kholo to argue with people with gifts? Can you throw bones wena and tell me what's wrong? Can you touch my hand and see all that I've done?
Kholo:Cha baba(No baba).
Qhawe:Then what is this that you are doing!? Solwazi is my son! And I will not have my wife badmouthing him around the house, accusing him of things he never did. You should be more worried about your son.
Kholo:Ngiyaxolisa(I am sorry)..
Qhawe:This better be the last time I address this! Thembeka please follow me my daughter..
Thembeka followed her father outside…
Khethi:Serves you right. You never know when to shut up!
Kholo:Shut up!
Khethi:I'm shutting up, but next time learn to control your mouth. Some of the things you say are really unnecessary, and you are too old for these squabbles.

SINDISWA
She is waiting for Solwazi to come back so he can explain this more. She has never been so confused in her entire life. She knows her son didn't do it, and she was relieved when Qhawe said the same.
She sees him walking in.
Solwazi:Moms...
Sindiswa:Solwazi, what is happening?
Solwazi:I think Mkhonto is the one who killed Ndlovu.
Sindiswa:Whoa what!?
Solwazi:Haven't you noticed how different he looks now? He's been turned over to the dark side apparently and dad needs to take him to some river to wash away the darkness. So I think Mkhonto has been possessed by the spirit of Madida, the first person to be king. Dad told me that he was a power hungry and evil person..
Sindiswa:So you think he's the one who convinced Mkhonto to kill him?
Solwazi:Probably did it himself but just used Mkhonto. So they shifted the blame on me so the attention would not be on them..
Sindiswa:Tjoh I don't believe this! Maybe Ndlovu knew something that's why they killed him.
Solwazi:That's what I thought. Dad wil leave with him today because we don't have time to waste. Mom I still need you to go to Durban, I have a feeling that things just started to get tough. I don't want you catching fires. You and Zizipho should stay in my house until dad fixes his mess. Me I'm staying here. Pack everything that belongs to you...
She didn't wait to be told twice and did as her son said.

Qhawe was with Thembeka and enquiring about what happened.
Qhawe:My daughter, talk to me. Why do an abortion?
Thembeka:Because I was scared of disappointing my mother, she always talk about the throne and that I shouldn't get married because they would not take me seriously in that house. And my boyfriend is a commoner, so I thought you wouldn't approve of him. He's also not financially stable so I did the one thing that came to my mind.
Qhawe:Well dating a commoner is not allowed but it has been done before. They used to ask from the ancestors to bless their union, especially for the princesses, it was possible. But for crowned princes, it's impossible, they have to get a royal wife and have royal children.
She nods......
Qhawe:Somehow I blame myself for all of this. I wasn't a good father and you couldn't come to me with your problems because I never gave you my time. That changes today. Have that boy come here to pay his damages. You need to be cleansed too to get rid of the bad luck.
Thembeka:Yes dad I understand, thank you.
Qhawe:Now I need to take your brother somewhere and get him help. I'll be back in the morning probably because I will leave him there. I'll see you when I get back.
She nodded and walked out.
Qhawe called Zizipho.
Zizipho:H....ello…
Qhawe:Hello Zee..
Zizipho:Dad....
Qhawe:How are you? Durban treating you well?
Zizipho:I'm fine. Yes I'm enjoying being in Durban. The change of atmosphere is refreshing.
Qhawe:We miss you here at home.
Zizipho:I will visit soon. Oh I have to go, my pizza is here...
She hung up. He sighed looking at his phone.
He called the healer and let her know that they are coming..
He walked out to find Mkhonto and he was with his mother.
Qhawe:We need to go now.
Kholo:Be safe, and come back with him..
Qhawe:I will. Let's go. You have your things?
He nodded.
Mkhonto followed after his father thinking of how much of a problem he was starting to be. He was starting to be a big problem!
