WRITTEN IN THE STARS: SEASON 2 05

Sbanisenkosi steps into the bathroom and sits on the toilet seat breathing heavily. Luyanda steps in shortly after and glares at her.

“Sbani...what's wrong?” She asks, Sbani shrugs and holds her belly.

“I don't know, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm having those braxton hick contractions as well. I think they got to me..” She says breathing heavily.

“Sbani don't do that.” Luyanda says kneeling besides her, Sbani heaves a sigh.

“They feel like period pains..” She says, Luyanda sighs.

“You're scaring me. You must not be stressed right now Sbani, you're not supposed to he stressed. It's not good for the baby..” She says, Sbani sighs.

“I don't know what's going on, my back hurts so bad Luyanda. It feels like I'm being stabbed kancane.” She says leaning forward and trying to balance her back, she winces a bit.

“Fùck..” She curses, Luyanda heaves a sigh.

“I'm calling your man, I don't know what to do. You're scaring me..” She says walking out, Sbani tries breathing in and out to subside the pain.

Luyanda walks downstairs and glares at Adrianna and Nicole who are in the lounge. She clicks her tongue and walks outside to the back yard, she looks around for Christopher and finally spots him standing with Alexander. She walks towards them with the hopes of not getting ignored by him. They both glare at her and Christopher sighs.

“There's your girl, bye..” He says trying to walk off.

“Sbanisenkosi is in the bathroom, she has some pains hence I'm here to call you.” She says and he turns to look at her.

“What? what happened? she was fine mos when you went with her inside so what happened?” He asks her.

“Your sister and your ex happened, I think they got to her head and she tried to keep it in.” She says, Nkanyezi sighs and walks inside. He walks into the lounge first as Adrianna and Nicole glare at him.

“Christopher, hi..” Nicole says, Nkanyezi glares at her and clicks his tongue. He glares at Adrianna.

“Do you see Sbani as your agemate?” He asks her.

“What are you talking about brother? I don't know what you're talking about.” She says laughing with Nicole.

“Should anything happen to Sbanisenkosi then you'll know me very well, I can't believe you right now.” He says rushing upstairs, he finds Sbanisenkosi still on the toilet seat sobbing.

“Sbani..” He says closing the door and kneeling besides her, he glares at her and wipes off her tears.

“What is wrong? are you in pain?” He asks her, she nods.

“I'm in pain, my back hurts and my lower belly hurts so bad Nkanyezi..” She says sniffing.

“Should we go back home? actually we are going back home. Come..” He says pulling her up, he holds her hand and they walk out. They meet Luyanda and Alex by the passage.

“Are you guys leaving?” Alex asks, Chris nods.

“For as long as that bìtch with long lashes is here then nothing will be fine. We're leaving, Sbani isn't feeling well.” He says.

“Then we are coming with you..” Alexander says.

“Let's just go” He says, they all walk downstairs and Nicole frowns glaring at them. How Christopher is holding Sbani's hand. She clicks her tongue and looks aside, Mrs Biyela walks inside holding her glass of wine.

“What's going on? Sbani?” She asks.

“Your daughter's energy isn't good for Sbani and the baby so I think we're gonna leave plus she's in pain.” Christopher answers.

“In pain? your water hasn't broke right? It's still early.” She says placing the glass down.

“Please notify me if anything goes wrong. I'll drive there immediately, I want to talk to Adrianna and Nicole.” She says walking past them. . . . LUYANDA

I'm freaking out right now, we're in the car and I've never panicked hearing someone breathe so heavily. Sbani shouldn't be in labour right now, she still has a week and a few days to go.

“Guys....” Sbani whispers, I turn back and glare at her, she has her eyes widen and her lips trembling.

“What's wrong?” Christopher asks her.

“I just peed on myself...” She says, I unfasten my seatbelt and jump over the back..

“What?” I ask her.

“It's not even pee, my water...” She says, I open my mouth wide in shock. Am I dreaming?

“Shoot, please go a little fast Nkanyiso.. On God, I need you to go fast right now.” He says, I return back to my seat biting my nails nervous as f*ck. The water breaking could only mean one thing right? the baby wants to phuma.

“Breathe in...and out..” Christopher says monitoring her breathing, I'm shaking right now.

Nkanyiso drives straight to the hospital, the pains have subsided because she's more calmer now.

“Let's go..” He says as we jump off the car, i glare at Sbani's belly and I could've sworn it wasn't this big back at the party. We walk inside and go to Dr Mthembu's office.

Once we get in, she checks her up. My heart's raising because what do you mean my best friend is going to be a mother? shìt is nerve wrecking.

“You can all breathe out, it was a false alarm..” She says, my jaw drops.

“A false alarm?” Christopher asks her, she nods.

“She was fully changing positions hence you had the back pains and your water ended up breaking. It's a false alarm..” She says, I breathe out in relief.

“You should relax, it's not time yet. The stress levels aren't looking good though, please minomize stressing her. It's not good now that she's close to giving birth.” She says, I sigh.

“Can you check my baby's heartbeat? just to be certain that they're both fine.” Christopher says, the doctor nods.

“Let me do just that.” She says, Sbani heaves a sigh and glares at me.

“You're even sweating, I'll kill you with a heart attack wena.” She says, I chuckle. I was shaking.

“You had me shaking sahna, I swear I was about to burst.” I say, she chuckles.

“I don't get the drama..” She says, oh hello? you almost gave birth! kanti unjani na wena bestie? I glare at Christopher, Sbani found a good one this time. He was literally panicking, he loves her for reals...
