WRITTEN IN THE STARS: SEASON 2 21
NKANYISO
I just served my mother some food, she's been sleeping this entire time and the state she's in is really scaring me. I just hope to get this over and done with so we could move on with our lives. Luyanda hasn't spoken to me even after they came back downstairs. She's even going as far as avoiding to sit next to me, I'm saying this because now we're in the dining room having lunch and she's seated far away from me.
“I long told you that you must come to my resturant and maybe be my partner in the business because you can cook Christopher yoh.” Mosetsana says eating the food my brother cooked.
“I might love cooking but that doesn't mean I want to pursue this as a career. I'd rather stay here and cook for Sbani, furthering this is not in my future plans.” He says, he's missing out on a lot of money.
“Or maybe he could turn into my cooking teacher, he might teach me how to cook.” Sbani says.
“Yeah! you are so right on that!” Nikiwe says, I chuckle a bit and shake my head. Nikiwe likes throwing shade and she doesn't know Luyanda nor Sbani, she shouldn't even try them.
“But as I said, I'm fine with you not knowing how to cook baby. It's not that much of a big deal with me.” He says, Nikiwe chuckles a bit and glares at Mosetsana. I see Luyanda frowning a bit and eating her phone in silence.
“When is your due date?” Sbani asks Nikiwe.
“Next month, early..” She responds.
“We're having a boy, it's yet another addition of boys in our family.” Tumelo says, I wonder if I'll ever have a baby.
“How was it like giving birth Sbani? I'm sure it was traumatic..” Mosetsana says to Sbani, she shakes her head.
“I've never had that much pain in me all at once, I felt like dying right there and just giving my soul in.” She says, we laugh.
“I, for one was traumatized. It was my first time seeing something like that and her reactions were very scary.” My brother says.
“Yet he was the one crying more than everyone in that room. Even I wasn't crying as much as Nkanyezi was crying.” She says, we laugh except for Luyanda.
“That's what Kagiso was doing during our son's birth.. these men can't even seem to control themselves.” Mosetsana says.
“Tumelo you better cry when i give birth or else.. you'll know me.” Nikiwe says, we laugh again. Liyanda gets up and storms off..
“And then? What's up with your girl?” Nikiwe asks, I heave a sigh and stand up. I follow her outside as I find her leaning against the wall.
“Luyanda..” I say, she glares at me and stands up straight.
“Yeah?” She says.
“What's going on? I thought speaking to Sbani will help you but you're getting worse.” I say, she shakes her head.
“There's nothing wrong with me. I'm okay, I just need some air. I'm suffocating in that house, i don't like those two girls..” She says, I sigh.
“Why are you not sittiing besides me? you haven't been talking to me ever since we got here. I feel like you're avoiding me Luyanda.” I say.
“It's a bit hard for me Nkanyiso, I'm thinking and I'm thinking deeply. I think we are better off not together.” She says, I glare at her. Is she being serious right now?
“So you want to end our relationship? for what?” I ask her.
“What do you mean for what? you know exactly why..” She says.
“Do you think I'm just like my dad? I'm gonna force myself onto you like he did? what do you take me for? a r-pist?” I ask her.
“This relationship was doomed from the beginning, I can't expect to be happy while I'm dating the son of the man who r-ped me.” She says, my heart sinks. To think I love her so much, what she's saying right now is hurting me.
“Can we go somewhere and talk? I feel like you have this all misunderstood..” I say, she shakes her head.
“I can't go anywhere with you..” She says.
“I'm not going to hurt you Luyanda, the little trust you had in me when we started dating, have it in me now..” I say, she sighs.
“Okay..” She says.
“I'll get the car keys..” I say walking back inside as they all glare at me.
“Is Lu okay?” Sbani asks, I nod.
“We're going out, I'll see you guys when i come back.” I say walking out. She follows me to my car as I open the door for her, she jumps in and I close the door. I walk around and jump in. I start the engine and drive off.. . . I park my car in the parking lot of the hotel we're at. We jump off the car and walk inside.
“What are we doing here Nkanyiso?” She asks, I hold her hand.
“Trust me..” I say pulling her to the room I booked, she's starting to shake. I truly don't know why. I use the access card I was given to unlock the door. I open the door and we walk in.
“What's this?” She asks.
“I thought we could come here today before i heard the news of my dad's passing. I didn't cancel everything with hopes of rewinding here with you. Just to get my mind off certain stuff. It was a little surprise for the both of us and i thought you'd love it.” I say, she heaves a sigh before letting her tears stream down.
“My dad may have been a r-pist but he raised me and my brother well. We're the men that we are today because of him. That includes not breaking your heart or being a reflection of him. I'm not him, I'll never be him. I love you Luyanda, I love you and I want you only.. you're my smile, my everything kahle kahle. I know being close to me brings pain but I can heal those pains and caress you, Trust me..” I say staring at her. My heart...
