WRITTEN IN THE STARS: SEASON 2 18

LUYANDA

In a time like this, I don't know what's happening with me. I've never got triggered by this issue ever since it happened but today it decides to trigger me in the most painful way. My body is shaking and it's achy, I have a headache and I haven't stopped crying. My heart is pounding really fast, I'm afraid.

Shouldn't I be happy that he died? he molested me and threw money at me. But he's Nkanyiso's father and right now, he's not doing very good. I'm struggling to pick up that phone and tell Nkanyiso that I want to be there for him, I don't want to be there for him because of that man. I'm losing my mind..

My phone rings from afar, I'm curled up in the corner. I've been sitting here since last night. I'm scared.. my phone continues ringing, something tells me to reach out for it. When I finally do, my heart soothes a bit because it's Sbani. I pick up, with my hands trembling.

“Luyanda what's happening? why didn't you come with Nkanyiso?” She asks, I gasp for air, oh my head is aching.

“I can't Sbani..” I say.

“Is it triggering you?” She asks.

“Badly..” I say.

“Do you want me to come over? I can come over. If you're not okay then I'm not okay, everyone isn't okay. Nkanyezi and Nkanyiso are a mess and their mother is the worst.” She says making my heart sink more.

“I'm not coping Sbani, i thought it didn't affect me like that but it did. My heart is going to stop.” I say shaking.

“No don't do that Lu, please don't. I'm coming to you right now.”  She says

“Your man is not okay, you can't abandon him and come to me. It doesn't work like that anymore Sbani.” I say hanging up, I call Nkanyiso not knowing what to expect.

“Baby..” He whispers on the other side of the phone, my tears stream down.

“I'm not okay..” I say, I hear him heaving a sigh.

“I'm coming..” He says, I hang up and place my phone down. I wipe off my tears and rest my head on my knees. I've never felt like this, my heart is beating so fast and I'm shaking, my entire body is aching so badly. The past always comes to attack me..After some time, I hear my door opening.

“Luyanda? baby?” He calls out for me, I try speaking but fail. I hear the door opening as his eyes stop at me.

“Lu..” He says walking towards me, he kneels besides me and wraps his arms around me.

“I'm sorry..” He says kissing the top of my hair, I cry in his arms and he consoles me.

“I'm so sorry, I..I didn't know it was this bad..” He says brushing my back, neither did I know that it was this bad. I feel like I'm dying..

“I'm not going to leave you ever..” He says.

“I'm sorry too..” I whisper. . . . CHRISTOPHER

Grieving hurts a lot hey but if I'm not strong then where will my mother get the strength to handle all of this? I'm sitting in the lounge with Sethu in my arms. Sbani is in the kitchen making coffee for my mother. I just received a call from my friends that they'll be coming over to offer their condolences.

“Do you also want some coffee?” She asks sitting besides me, I shake my head.

“I'm good thanks..” I say, she nods.

“So are you gojng to bury him here or back at your home?” She asks, I haven't even thought about that.

“I'll ask my mother, I haven't really thought about anything.” I say.

“I understand, it's a lot to think about.” She says.

“I have friends that will be coming over just now, it's gonna be the first time you meet my friends.” I say.

“Who are they?” She asks, I sigh.

“The most amazing people on this earth after you.” I say, she smiles.

“Are they really that special?” She asks, she has no idea. They've been with me through every hardship, I've been with them through everything.

“They are..” I say, she nods and plants a kiss on my lips. We haven't been intimate ever since she gave birth and I understand that she was still healing and she needed the time. When it's time, we'll do it.

“Let me go place her upstairs..” She says, I nod and hand Sethu over to her. She walks away heading upstairs.

Nkanyiso just stormed without telling anyone where he's going. I know he went to Luyanda and I can't stop him, he loves her. My phone rings just as I'm lost in my thoughts, I smile a bit at the caller ID and answer the phone.

“Yeah?” I say, he chuckles.

“Open the gate, the security doesn't want to let us for some stupid reasons.” He says.

“Lemme open..” I say getting up and pressing the button on the floor. They're here.. . . . SBANISENKOSI

I place Sethu on her bed and cover her up well. I kiss her cheek, my baby smells so good. I'm obsessed with her, God gave me such a beautiful baby. I march downstairs and I'm met by Christopher greeting someone, well people.. two men and two women. The other one looks heavily pregnant..

“We got you this..” The other woman says handing him a cylinder box. She's so gorgeous..

“Thank you..” Christopher says, he glares at me causing these people to stare at as well.

“Come..” He says, i walk towards them.

“Okay so guys, this is my fiance and my partner for life. Sbanisenkosi..” He says, I glare at them.

“Hello..” I say, the pregnant woman smiles.

“Hey gorgeous, it's finally nice to meet the person who pulled Christopher out of that miserable life of his.” She says punching his shoulder and he shoots her a glare.

“Hai! Christopher introduce us haw phela..” The other woman says.

“Oh yeah, baby...these are my dearest friends. Well brothers and sisters of some sort..” He says.

“That is Kagiso and his wife Mosetsana, and that is Tumelo with his..fiance Nikiwe.” He says, where did God keep this people? they look so good.
