KHETHOKUHLE MHLONGO

lts been a week staying with the Nxumalo's and it's not bad at all remember my parents burial was on Saturday so Ma'Nxumalo accompanied me . The shock that was on auntie's face you would swear she had seen a ghost . The family from my mom's side is cold compared to my dad's family , Ma'Nxumalo explained to them the situation of me staying with them and my family from dad's side agreed to blet me stay with them but l should also visit when l can .

l won't say lm okay honestly wenever lm in my room at night l just start cutting myself on my arms and lve been recently wearing long sleeves . Nobody notice , l hope no one does l hate to see them pity me ...lts my life problems not their nor ours !

lm just sitting in the corner of the room with the light switched on ..lm not a fan of the light so l love being in dark rooms l feel more calm then . The door handle turns and Langa enters he's kind of annoying he refuses to give me my own space mxm his just suffocating maybe they should've named him suffocate coz damn he's good

Langa :"Kuhle can l turn on the lights" mxm the nerve by the way he's the only one who calls me kuhle instead of khetho

Khetho :"you found them off so leave them like that"

Langa :"okay no need to bite my head off okay!" he says taking a seat next to me on the carpet

okay we seat in comfortable silence without saying a word for a few minutes until he decides to open his can of worms argh

Langa :"how are you feeling today"

Khetho :"fine" l say dismissively l have no business in wanting to tell him how l really feel and lts not like it matters

Langa :"hmm"

l know she's not "fine " like she said so lm just going to let it slide . kuhle is broken marn and lt hurts to see her like this ... l would one day love to see her smile. The pain she is feeling is not the kind of pain that one get over within a few days . The reason lve been in her face l want her to loosen up little by little ngyaz it won't be easy coz damn kuhle is giving me a hard time ... but hey l'll work hard no softening her

Langa :"Let me leave you then " l break the silence that was now echoing in the room

Khetho :"hmm it's about time" yep it's confirmed she doesn't like me around her do l just chuckle making my way out of her room .

l find mom cooking lunch in the kitchen band dad reading his new paper ...you can never separate him from daily news hey . l take a seat

Mr Nxumalo :"injan intombazan" referring to kuhle

Langa :"she's not okay but she will be "

Mrs Nxumalo :"yeah hey healing takes time nana should take it day by day. l was thinking if she starts attending school next week it will get her mind out of things ... ucabangan Mkatshwa (clan name) "

Mr Nxumalo : " it's a good thought mkami , keeping he mind busy with school work shall her going "

l want to protest but who knows they might be right so we will have to wait and see .
