KHETHOKUHLE MHLONGO

I flap my eyes and l look around , how did l get here . l mean lm in an unfamiliar room not just any room but it looks like it's owned by a gent by the look of how things are ...but the case is how did l get her . l try to move myself from the bed and l flinch

"hey take it easy " this guy who just entered my room says mxm l know it's not my room but you know what l mean

l frown looking at him l don't know him

khetho :"uhm sorry but who are you ?where am l ? why am l here ? and how did l get here" well the last question doesn't really need an answer

"woah , one question at a time " l just stare at him and it looks like he should be going to school or something l mean he's carrying a school bad on one arm

"ls she awake son " a beautiful lady says entering then her eyes meet mine "oh thank goodness you awake" she says enveloping me ..uhm okay l kinda flinch because of the pain lm feeling

khetho :" hmm"

"oh sorry l just cot carried away " smiling"Langa please come with her porridge she needs to eat and you need to go too before you get late for your lectures " hmm guess his in varsity

Langa :"okay then" he walks out leaving me with his mom

Khetho :"what am l doing here" she chuckles did l maybe crack a joke ...well l don't think so

"you silly girl , go was your face and brush your teeth there an unused toothbrush there" she says pointing to what l think is the bathroom ...l want to protest but then again she's an elder so l do as lm told .

lts a struggle brushing my teeth because my mouth hurts ...hmmm the percks of getting a kick right on the mouth "sighs" anyways l rinse my mouth and wash my face and head back .She has made the bad and l see a bowl of porridge

"uhm seat " l take a seat and she hands me the bowl of porridge l just play with it

"Okay nana l know you have questions but please do eat while l explain " okay l nods and take a spoon full of porridge

"I'm Nandine Nxumalo wife to Sakhile Nxumalo . My husband is the who came with you here he found you lying on the streets not far from here since he saw a young lady just lying there he decided to come with you and they surely did a number on you ...mind telling me how it happened "

All this while l was just swallowing this porridge .

Khetho :"it's no big deal Ma'Nxumalo ....uhm can l call you that " she chuckles before nodding " well two days ago l lost my parents and the neighbor took me in yesterday and her husband told her lm not his responsibility so l came here with the hopes of staying my aunt but she kicked me out and l was just trying to walk back home and you know what happened next in the midst of all that those thugs tears my documents like a piece of bread " l was now sobbing in her arms

Ma'Nxumalo:" oh nana , all of this in one week"

Khetho :"l have no one Ma'Nxumalo ... my parents just had to give up easily l...."

Ma'Nxumalo :"shhhh kuzolunga nana , seng'khona mina "

l just continue sobbing ,all l e been hearing recently is kuzolunga kodwa the question l should be asking them is nini ? Damn my life is crumbling before me .l feel like lm carrying the world's troubles so much for a 15 year old isn't it...
