Slondiwe (baby mama): "Yebo, Mageba, ngikuzwile."
Menzi chuckles softly. "Eii, ngoba nathi siya lala nje. Ukuthanda igqe lokho," he says, laughing at himself.
He ends the call, having just told his baby mama that he's ten minutes away asking her to prepare their son since he's only passing by to fetch him.
Menzi drives toward eHlazeni, near Camperdown, to collect his five-year-old son, Shlangu.
The moment he parks in front of the gate, his boy recognizes the car. Shlangu bolts toward him just as Menzi opens the door and steps out.
