KGOTHATSO .

CHAPTER 04 .

— THE FOLLOWING DAY .

He groans painfully closing his eyes , the mark burning more and more .

: why isn't she here ?

Gogo Manzini : She hasn't called yet .

: I can't take this pain no more !

Gogo Manzini : I know but please hang in there .

Just then , her phone rings . She flashes a smile ....

Gogo Manzini : I think your prayers might have been answered .

: is that her ?

Gogo Manzini : yes ..

She quickly picks up the call .

Gogo Manzini : Ma'Ndlovu ..

Kgothatso sighs .

Kgothatso : please send me the address .

Gogo Manzini : I'll do that immediately .

She hangs up and sends the location ..

: what did she say ?

Gogo Manzini : that she wants the address of this house .

Mpiyakhe : well it's better she's coming .

Gogo Manzini : it's better , and I hope she's agreeing to this marriage . Your father is flying down tonight and everything will be arranged .

: just get it over and done with .

Gogo Manzini : well you must know she's beautiful as heaven .

: she is ?

Gogo Manzini : she is .

Mpiyakhe : we'll believe it when we see it .

— 30 MINUTES LATER .

She steps out of the car in her light blue cargo jean and oversized white nike tee and her all star hike . She takes off her shades as she walks to the gate

Security guard : who are you here to see ?

Kgothatso : the sangoma .

Security guard : are you the one that's supposed to save the boss's son ?

Kgothatso : will you let me in ? Your heart is weighing heavily on mine , you don't have any pure intentions with the conversation you're initiating right now .

Security guard : okay ..

He presses the remote and the gate opens , she walks in .

Security guard : the code at the door is 445 .

She nods and walks to the door , she presses the code and the door opens ..

Gogo Manzini : I think she's in here .

His heart starts beating unusually fast ..

Gogo Manzini : let me get her .

She walks downstairs and glances at Kgothatso who's scanning the entire house .

Gogo Manzini : hello .

Kgothatso : hey ..

Gogo Manzini : come ..

She follows her upstairs as her heart beats more faster , her knees weakling .

Gogo Manzini : is it overwhelming on you ?

Kgothatso : alot .

She says balancing herself with the wall ..

Gogo Manzini : let me help you .

She reaches out for her hand and helps her walk into the room , she shuts her eyes with tears streaming down her face .

Gogo Manzini : here he is ..

He weakly tries opening his eyes but fails , she wipes off her tears glancing at his back .

Mpiyakhe : you're here ..

Her eyes don't move from him , he has his face faced forward so he can't see his face .

Gogo Manzini : go ..

She gathers up the courage to walk up to him and kneel down , her fragrance hits his nostrils ..

Kgothatso : what's your name ?

: Mandlawenkosi .

Kgothatso : why did you request for me ?

Mandlawenkosi : you're the one who's supposed to help me .

Kgothatso : give me your hand ..

He holds out his hand as she shivers , she holds his hand ..

Kgothatso : you don't have time ..

Mandlawenkosi : hence you're here .

Gogo Manzini : Mpiyakhe , please help him sit up .

Mpiyakhe : okay .

He walks over to Mandlawenkosi and slowly helps him sit up , her heart beats even more faster as she comes across his face . He groans lightly and finally opens his eyes .. the first thing he comes across is her beautiful eyes .

Gogo Manzini : there's your future wife .

He doesn't move his eyes from her , his vision gets blurry as he's about to collapse but she quickly grabs his muscular arms .

Kgothatso : don't .. don't let it come over you .

Mandlawenkosi : I don't feel good ..

Kgothatso : you're allowing it to take over you , toughen up .

Mandlawenkosi : i...I can't .

Kgothatso : you can and you will .

She says rubbing her beads on his wrist . She starts chanting their clan names ..

Mpiyakhe : (whispers) how does she know our clan names ?

Gogo Manzini : she's not the chosen one for nothing . She's more than special , she's amazing .

Mandlawenkosi begins sweating as he tries collapsing again but she holds his arm tight . He begins breathing heavily as he shuts his eyes ..

Mandlawenkosi : what's your name ?

Kgothatso : Kgothatso , Kgothatso Mofokeng .

He opens his eyes again as she slowly lets go of him , he glances at her as she stands up .

Kgothatso : you're letting it take over your entire body , that's not supposed to happen . You look like a strong man so toughen up and fight it ..

Gogo Manzini : he's gonna be able to fight it if you're with him .

Kgothatso : you still have a long way to go , you're not healed yet .

Mandlawenkosi : I'm not healed yet because I'm not married to you .

Gogo Manzini : are you ready to make her your wife ?

Mandlawenkosi : do you want to be my wife ?

She clears her throat a bit avoiding his eyes ..

Kgothatso : I wouldn't want another person to lose their life whereas I was supposed to help them .

Mandlawenkosi : I'm gonna take it as a yes .

Gogo Manzini : you do things the traditional way , you send the elders to her home and pay lobola , you're gonna drive back home and have your traditional wedding there . She must get introduced to the ancestors and be known by the Ndlovu family .

She sighs lightly .

Gogo Manzini : when you come back , you're gonna live together . For as long as destiny wants .

Mpiyakhe : we need to send a letter to her family first ..

Mandlawenkosi : we'll do that tomorrow when dad is here .

Mpiyakhe : I guess this is a wedding then .

Kgothatso : if we're done , may I go ?

Gogo Manzini : the maid had prepared lunch , won't you eat ?

Kgothatso : I'll eat when I step into this house as a married woman .

Mandlawenkosi smiles lightly and shakes his head .

Kgothatso : for now , I'll take your leave .

Gogo Manzini : thank you so much for agreeing to save our son , you've not only helped him but you helped all of us .

Kgothatso : I'm a healer , I'd do anything to save lives . My ancestors gave me the gift for a reason .

Gogo Manzini : and I'd like to think so , you're using your gift for genuine reasons only .

Kgothatso : (nods) , bye ...

She glances at Mandlawenkosi ..

Kgothatso : remember what I said , toughen up .

Mandlawenkosi : I will .

She walks out ..

Mpiyakhe : now what did you think of that ?

Mandlawenkosi : she's gorgeous .

Gogo Manzini : I knew you'd think so .

Mandlawenkosi : she's insanely unique and beautiful . Totally surprised me ..

Mpiyakhe : and she said you must toughen the fuck up. 

Mandlawenkosi : I actually feel a lot better .

He says heaving a sigh ..

Mandlawenkosi : I guess I'm getting married .

Mpiyakhe : you must tell your little girlfriend that you're getting married to someone who's like 10× gorgeous than her .

Mandlawenkosi : Stop that , it's not funny ..
