The Hitman and The Sorcerer
PROLOGUE
Astrid stared at the man whose face could kill anyone in the room. She knew why this man was angry but didn't quite understand why he was here if he did not want to be. She took a good look at his wife and saw a woman in pain, a woman asking for help. Astrid had never met such desperate people in need before she was intrigued just looking at the wife's eyes.
"Why have you come seeking my help?". She asked with a calm voice, and it made the man more angrier than he was. The woman cried louder, making the man groan annoyed.
"I told you we should not have come here, I don't even understand why you are crying, Sophia." Oh, that's her name, Sophia.
"Our daughter is sick, Caspian, and you think I'm making a scene by crying about it. Wow, what a father you are." You could not miss the annoyance in her voice. Astrid smirked, seeing the man get told by his wife she did not like tone the one he used on her.
"I'm sorry to interrupt this, but can you tell me in detail why your daughter is sick?". Caspian groaned, making Astrid give him a deadly look.
"We don't know she started screaming, telling us that she is hearing voices of people crying from a distance and some were calling for help. Then, the next morning, she could not walk or talk." Astrid frowned hearing this. She admits this is new to her. She is not a witch but works with magic, so she is a sorcerer. Her family is gifted. In that part, her grandmother was one and her mother, so now it has been passed down to her. She was trained at a very young age so she knows a lot of things.
"Why don't you tell her that our daughter is like that because of people like her?" He half yelled.
"Excuse me!, what do you mean people like me?". Sophia scoffed loudly, looking her husband.
"You are unbelievable, Caspian. I shouldn't have brought you here. This was a bad idea." She wiped her eyes.
"You people are all the Sam. My daughter is like you because of witches like you!". He roared hand pointing in Astrid's direction, who was taken back by this outburst. He got up and left. Sophia was still sitting on the couch sniffling.
"Could you please help me. I heard you are one of the best, so I know my daughter will be saved if I come here. Sorry about my husband. " Astrid nodded. She went to another room and came back holding a white bottle.
"When you get home make sure you give her two teaspoon of this and rub her belly twice do this every day in the evening alright but let me warn you Sophia if you don't do this with pure intention it won't work. Your husband will be the cause of that because both of you need to dedicate yourselves in saving your daughter. You can't do it alone. " She nodded, wiping her tears.
"Thank you, Astrid. I'll try to talk to him." She nodded, watching Sophia walk out.
"It's already too late, Sophia, but you don't know it. Oh, I feel sorry for you." She closed her door, walking to the kitchen, finding her cat Aileen. "We had unexpected guests who were rather cruel, didn't we?". Aileen made a sound. "Yeah, I feel sorry for them too.
