Ayola is the quiet one—the one who speaks in glances and silences, the one who feels danger before it arrives. Yolanda is the louder heartbeat between them, the girl who stands in the doorway like she’s daring the world to try her. Together, they move like two halves of the same soul… one shadow, one flame. Everyone assumes Yolanda is the protector. They don’t notice how Ayola always walks slightly behind her, close enough to pull her back, close enough to take the blow first. Their loyalty isn’t something they talk about; it’s something they breathe. Ayola would step into darkness without a sound if it meant saving Yolanda. And Yolanda—she would burn down everything she loves before letting harm touch Ayola. But everything shifts the day a man steps into Yolanda’s life. A man who is not meant to be part of their story. A man Ayola instinctively fears. Suddenly Yolanda is torn between the sister she’d die for and a love that tastes like danger. And Ayola… Ayola watches quietly, her heart cracking without making a noise, because she knows what happens when outsiders slip between them. If Yolanda chooses him, something sacred will break. If she chooses Ayola, someone dangerous will awaken. And in the end, one truth hangs over them like a blade: They would die for each other, yes. But now, they might have to.
