Destined With You

CHAPTER 2

I gulped down my whiskey and breathed out before throwing the glass against the wall. I scratched my head in frustration and cursed beneath my teeth. Getting robbed by teenagers? that doesn't make sense... it's frustrating me because it never happened. No one dared to mess with me, ever.

"Phakamile, sit down. We need to talk."

That was my father walking in my study room without even knocking, I wanna be alone, but does he listen to anyone? no! I obeyed and sat down on the single couch opposite of him.

Me: Baba.

Gcabashe: I finally got a girl for you.

Me: A girl?

Gcabashe: You need to get married, phela. We talked about this.

Me: Yes, we did, but I never agreed to that, baba. I have a wife in case you forgot.

Gcabashe: Ohh, where's she? because I don't see her anywhere. Well, I haven't seen her for weeks now.

Me: Well, she went on a vacation with her friends.

Gcabashe: And when will she give you an heir when she's busy having fun? weeh Phakamile, did you get married to this woman for fun?

Me: Baba, not now, please. Omontle is not ready yet to have kids. I can't force her.

Gcabashe: When will she be ready? by the time you're already in your death bed? kanti, who is taking care of you while she's away?

Me: Baba yazi, I told you ukuthi, my club was robbed, thousands of rands were taken. I have better things to do than getting married to some girl I don't even know.

He stood up, putting his hands in his pants' pockets, giving me stares.

Gcabashe: Get ready tomorrow, we're getting that girl from her home.

Me: What?

I stood up, and he kept quiet glaring at me... fuck he still gives me chills with this look of his.

Me: Baba, can I at least sort my issues out first?

Gcabashe: You're not depending on that club Phakamile. Why do you have to be so stressed about this?

Me: Because my drug business is based on the money I make from that very same club Gcabashe.

Gcabashe: That very same club along with that drug business will need someone to look after when you die and that someone has to be your own son so this girl will make things easy and be your housewife.

Did I say I want a housewife? and he keeps saying, "A girl." Kanti, how old is this girl he's talking about?

Me: *mumbles* I don't even want a housewife.

Gcabashe: What was that?

Me: I'll get ready tomorrow baba, is she already moving in? please say no.

Gcabashe: She is... we're paying her family off tomorrow, and we'll drive you straight to home affairs to get legally married.

Me: You're now forcing me.

Gcabashe: It has to be done, I want grandson from you, Phaka. Your brothers and your younger sister already have their own kids.

Me: But I am me, you know the life I'm living... I don't wanna put my kids in danger.

Gcabashe: We'll protect them like how I protected you.

Is he for real? I glanced at him, annoyed. He chuckled and walked towards the door.

Gcabashe: I'll be waiting for you tomorrow at 8 am sharp.

He walked out and closed the door behind him. I kicked off the chair that was next to me and huffed. How dare he force me into this?

My phone rang, disturbing my thoughts. It's Mthunzi. I hope they have my money.

Me: Talk to me.

Mthunzi: Bozza, we got the money. We took those people who robbed the club to the warehouse, but we found those two teens escaped.

Me: What? how the hell did that happen?

Mthunzi: I found our guys tied up and stabbed. One of them is shot.

Me: The fuck?

Mthunzi: They all say it's that girl bozza.

I underestimated that girl, how the hell did she do that? no one has ever escaped that place, who the hell is she?

Mthunzi: And the money we got, it's fake bozza yami.

Me: I'll be there a few... they have to spit out the truth.

Eita Phakamile Gcabashe here, but y'all can call me "PK" or maybe "Black Tiger"? yeah, that's how people and my gang call me. I am 30 years old, married to Omontle Gcabashe, and as you heard, I have no kid. Stay tuned as my journey unfolds.

To Be Continued.
