She rises early on Sunday, a day that always seems to fly by. With Mam Khethiwe unavailable for the week, she takes it upon herself to tackle the household chores, completing the laundry and cleaning the house. Feeling accomplished, she notices the time is already 07:45.
As the sun begins to shine brighter, she feels a sense of satisfaction, having finished her tasks. This domestic work is unfamiliar territory for her, but she chuckles to herself, feeling like a true homemaker. Heading to the bedroom, she greets Mkhuseli, who is emerging from the bathroom, fresh from his bath.
”Good morning,”she says, and he returns the greeting, applying lotion to his skin.
